Voting starts on Saturday 4 June and ends at 7pm on election day, Saturday 18 June. If you are unable to get to a voting place on election day, you can still vote. Here’s how.
You can vote from Saturday 4 June to Friday 17 June at an advance voting place. The days and times advance voting places are open vary, so check before you go.
Information about where and when to vote will be available from Tuesday 17 May on this website or by calling 0800 36 76 56. It will also be included in your EasyVote pack.
On election day, Saturday 18 June, all voting places will be open from 9am to 7pm.
Ask someone to collect your voting papers
You may be unable to go to a voting place because of poor health or mobility, or because you are isolating at home with COVID-19 or are a household contact.
If you are unable to go to a voting place, then complete and sign the form in the Unable to get to a voting place brochure (this will be available soon on this website) and ask someone to take it to a voting place. They will then bring you back your voting papers to complete.
If there’s no one who can collect your voting papers on your behalf, we may be able to deliver them to you. Please call us on 0800 36 76 56.
How to return your voting papers
- Ask someone to drop your completed voting papers back to a voting place before 7pm, Saturday 18 June.
- If you have a return courier pack, follow the instructions on the pack to arrange a courier pickup, otherwise call us on 0800 36 76 56 if you need help.
Working on election day?
You’re legally allowed to have time away from work to go and vote on election day. You can also vote early at any voting place from Saturday 4 June.
You can still vote if you are in a rest home
If you are in a rest home, you don’t need to contact us. Your local Electorate Manager will contact the manager of your rest home to arrange voting services.
You can still vote if you are in hospital
If you can’t get to a voting place because you are in hospital, from Saturday 4 June a friend or family member can bring you your voting papers. If you’re scheduled to go into hospital prior to election day, it’s best to vote in advance if you can, from Saturday 4 June. Call us on 0800 36 76 56 for more information.
