This election there will be 15 Kaupapa Māori voting places where our staff can take you through the voting process in te reo Māori.
The Kaupapa Māori voting places are open to everyone, and staff will speak both te reo Māori and English.
The people working there are from the local community – they will welcome you and can help you enrol and vote.

Enrol to vote
Before you can vote, you need to be enrolled. If you are Māori, you choose between the Māori roll and the general roll when you first enrol to vote.
Once you’re enrolled, you can change the roll you are on at any time except in the 3 months before an election.
We are in the 3-month period before the election which means that if you’re already enrolled, the roll you’re on now is the roll you’ll be on for the 2023 General Election.
