If you’re overseas you can upload your voting papers for the 2023 General Election.
This could be a scan or photograph of your printed and completed voting papers, or voting papers you have completed electronically.
You will be able to upload your voting papers here from Wednesday 27 September until 7pm on election day, Saturday 14 October (New Zealand time).
You can only upload your voting papers if you’re overseas.
Your voting papers consist of:
- Your completed declaration form, and
- Your ballot paper.
You must return your declaration in order for your vote to count.
You can only upload your own voting papers.
Check your voting papers before you submit them. Submitting your voting papers more than once may mean that your vote will not count.
If you’ve completed your voting papers electronically, you either need to draw your signature (e.g. using your device’s touchscreen) or insert an image of your signature.
We cannot accept typed signatures or digital certificates.
