We publish statistics each month showing how many people are enrolled in each Māori electorate, general electorate, local council district, and council voting area.
We also publish quarterly statistics showing the number of people of Māori descent on the Māori roll and the general roll, broken down by electorate and age.
Quarterly enrolment statistics
The following table shows roll changes and new Māori enrolments between 31 March and 13 July 2023. New enrolments include 17-year-olds enrolling on the provisional roll.

The next boundary review, which will determine the number of Māori and general electorates, will take place before the 2026 General Election. We will provide electoral roll data to Stats NZ on 1 April 2024 for this calculation.
